Seventh Grade – Mr. Abanico


Mr. Abanico graduated from California State University East Bay with a degree in Human Development with a concentration in Adolescent Development and Social Psychology. He has worked in the field of human services and education since high school. Mr. Abanico has worked as a youth counselor, community organizer, and case manager for city ad county agencies as well as different school districts.

Most recently he worked for the San Leandro Police Department as a Program Manager running a gang prevention initiative through the state of California and Alameda County.

Mr. Abanico’s passion for working with youth stems from his involvement with St. Anne Catholic Church in Union City. He was an active EMMAUS Peer Minister and is currently a Confirmation Catechist for high school students and the St. Anne Praise Team Choir Director.

Mr. Abanico strives to teach students through life experiences and relevance. He is dedicated to teaching and growing with each of his students.
