Principal’s Message

Dear St. Clement Families,

On behalf of Saint Clement Catholic School faculty and staff, I am honored to formally welcome you to the
2018-2019 school year. I hope you had a wonderful summer vacation and enjoyed quality time with your
family and now your children are rested and eager to begin another school year.
Although I may be serving in a new position as principal of Saint Clement, I am by no means “new” to our
school community. I am a life-long parishioner of Saint Clement Parish and graduate of Saint Clement
School, Moreau Catholic High School, and Cal State East Bay. I have had the pleasure of working as a
classroom teacher for thirteen and a half years, a Learning Support coordinator for three years, and the
last nine years also as Vice Principal. I am blessed to be working with an amazing administrative team
and faculty and staff who are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our students. I am
also excited to be working with you, the parents. It is our responsibility as parents, teachers, and
administration to work as a team in order for the students to succeed academically, spiritually, socially,
and to discover their own unique gifts and talents. We have enrichment classes, intervention programs,
clubs, and service groups to help support each student to allow him/her to become faith-filled children of
God, life-long learners, active, responsible citizens, and well-rounded, self confident individuals. I strongly
feel that the possibilities for intellectual, spiritual, social, and personal growth this year are tremendous.
We have some new additions to our faculty for this school year. We are pleased to announce the new
third grade teacher, Ms. Jessica Romero, welcome back the 7th grade homeroom teacher, science for
Junior High, and math for 7th and 8th, Mrs. Jennifer Reily, welcome back the Junior High math teacher
and math support for lower grades, Mrs. Josephine Ricafrente, and the new music teacher for TK-8th, Mr.
Jonathan Napier- Morales.

In our “Welcome Back Pack,” please expect to receive more detailed information from our staff and
faculty, including school/diocesan forms, welcome letters from our teachers, as well as a grade-level
supply list.
